Recent show, Test Kitchen, Sept 25 – Nov 2, 2025; Opening Reception: Saturday, Sept 27, 4-6 Le Shed. Work in this show includes photography and sculptures that combine clay, textiles, tape, paper, and cardboard. In this series, I experiment with media and materials, structures and limitations, and ideas about collections, multiples, duplication, and replication. Embracing flexibility with fewer ingredients, creativity with staples, and playful twists to classics, the work and title of the show are inspired by the cookbook, Ottolenghi Test Kitchen Shelf Love. Le Shed is a project / space by artists Heike Liss and Perry Doane. Le Shed emphasizes community building through experimental art exhibitions and gathering people around the dinner table.
I am thankful to Cow House Studios and to The Studios at MASS MoCA for the recent two week artist residencies. I loved experimenting with photography and animation, and learning how to use the floor loom for weaving. Check out the images of IG.
Artists in Offices: a Podcast about Artists and their Day Jobs returns on September 30, 2025, with a new season dedicated to parent artists! Thanks Rebecca Bird Grigsby for including me in this season.
Thank you to Torine Helland and Hissing Contemporary Art Magazine for the artist interview with reflections on art-making, my time at the Rauschenberg Residency, Kala, and more.
